Hotel Survey

Based upon our extensive experience in working with hotels and resorts in Vietnam, Grant Thornton (Vietnam) Ltd. (“Grant Thornton”) determined a number of years ago that there was a demand in Vietnam for the benchmarking of Vietnamese hotels. Therefore, we decided to commence an annual hotel survey, which is now in its eighth year. With the support from a range of hotels and resorts throughout Vietnam, the Vietnam Hotel Survey 2011 was released in June 2011.

The Vietnam Hotel Survey prepared by Grant Thornton is the only comprehensive hotel survey report presenting financial, operational and statistical information from high-end hotels and resorts across Vietnam. It provides readers a general as well as insightful view on hotel operations in Vietnam by presenting data covering different criteria for analysis such as hotel facilities, staffing, financial statements and market data. Data is dissected into star ranking, region and hotel size so that readers can gain an in-depth understanding about the Vietnamese high-end hospitality industry.

With the Hotel Survey, Grant Thornton is proudly supporting Operation Smile Vietnam – a private, non-profit, volunteer organization providing reconstructive facial surgery and related care to impoverished children in Vietnam. 100% of the proceeds from each copy of the Hotel Survey sold is donated to Operation Smile Vietnam.

With more than eighteen years on the ground consulting and advisory experience in Vietnam, Grant Thornton Vietnam has a proven track record of serving clients across various industries, including the hospitality sector. We have a strong and experienced team with a well-established background in providing advisory services to businesses in Vietnam.  Grant Thornton Vietnam is led by Managing Partner Mr Kenneth Atkinson, who has over 30-years experience in Tourism Development in China, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
